Homeland Security has made no secret that they are monitoring the Occupy Wall Street followers. Apparently the 18 mayors who participated in a conference call in early November were talking strategy and unconfirmed reports indicate that Homeland Security was coaching them on removing occupations which quickly followed.

The Republicans are doing their best to sugar-coat a bitter pill by the name of Mitt Romney. The first voting clearly showed they are resisting. The anyone-but-Romney bloc is more than substantial. Most Republicans are desperately seeking another candidate, but so far surges by other candidates have fizzled, the exception being Rick Santorum who may or may not have new momentum going forward.
Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen “Nuch” Trutanich has offered those arrested in raids a deal. They can attend a class on the First Amendment for $355 to resolve the charges against them. (The company that would make a tidy bundle on this offer, American Justice Associates, was founded by a former prosecutor who also happens to be an ex-cop).
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
