“Now, for the first time since they started shaping the campaign in earnest, many of those super' political action committees are set to disclose just who is financing their pseudo-campaign operations.”
Busy weekend in Oakland, but you'd never know it if you were watching the mainstream newscasts. The absence of coverage this time has to be viewed as something of a blackout. Occupiers from all over the state arrived in Oakland for Move-In Day yesterday. The plan was to take over a building for occupation, but the cops arrived en force and spent the day pushing and herding the crowd all over the city. (The objective was the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center). In the end, as many as 300 protesters were surrounded, many arrested as police encountered spotty violence in the form of tossed bottles and rocks.
