1. The OWS demonstrations are self proclaimed Direct Democracy. I think everybody, especially the mainstream media, needs to hear this over and over until they accept that it is legal, populist, and the right thing to do.  I also believe the sleeping portion of the 99% needs to hear this until they wake up to the fact that Direct Democracy is the only real Democratic option left to the vast majority of the enfranchised citizens of this country.  

When someone asks what IS OWS?  Try the answer, the modern American exercise in Direct Democracy. OWS is the vocal redress of the people’s grievances to the government as guaranteed by the Constitution.  Now you want to talk grievances?   Let’s talk about Bailed-out Banks foreclosing on millions of American homeowners.  Let’s talk about the incestuous relationships of Government, US Treasury and Financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Lehman Bros. Et. al.  (Think Henry Paulson, Robert Rubin, Larry Summers and Timothy Geithner, and of course the grandfather of the derivatives-driven melt down, Alan, I’m sorry I was wrong, Greenspan). This kind of incest in the financial governance of the USA must be regulated AND enforced out of existence in our future.

2. Removing all money from the election process is an overwhelming concept that most people cannot visualize.  Instead of ALL money how about changing it to removing the DIRTY money.  Dirty money can be defined as the vast sums the super rich, like the Koch brothers, and corporations use to influence the political processes at every level.    Overturning the Citizens United decision, by constitutional amendment is a must-do and viable goal.

3.  Ending Capitalism or End the Fed are way radical concepts that begs visions of Utopian Communism.  If the verbiage is instead ending Crony Capitalism, where the game is rigged, the fix is in and the playing field is never level, that is a concept I believe that most people can embrace.  It makes for a nice phrase as well, don’t you think?

4. I submit that the mechanism for political and economic change should be a Constitutional Convention to draft a new amendment(s) to correct the current unjust and inequitable state of affairs the good old USA now finds itself in.  We need some really good lawyers on board for that one.

It seems to be the most direct, legal and expeditious method for the change we need, available to the people of America.   I see that the other option of the formation of any new political party(s), without the constitutional constraints on the process we now lack, will end up being more of the Same Old Same Old.  What say You?
