I don't really know much about Jackie Lacey other than that she is not Carmen Trutanich. I plan to vote for Ms. Lacey because I am so angry at Trutanich for what happened to the Occupy Los Angeles camp at City Hall last November.

 

Trutanich probably thought we would all forget his arrogance and his role in busting the camp and mis-treating Occupiers who were subsequently arrested, but I have not. I would like Trutanich's role in busting OLA to be the final significant act in his public life.

 

I wonder what Ms. Lacey's position on Occupy Los Angeles is. I looked on the website but did not see any discussion of her platform.

 

If she was fully on board with the bust-up of OLA's camp, I will still vote for her. That's how mad I am at Carmen. But if she were to come out and actually condemn Carmen in public for his role in busting OLA, why I would probably get off my ass and actually walk precincts for her (or whatever else needs getting done).
