As l lay in my tent, wired from the energy from earlier, I think about the last 19 days. Chatter about the "movement" exists in multiple languages; Swedish and English being within the closest proximity.
Ideas about the development of sustainable ecosystems are hashed out in a fantastical yet imaginable manner. Amongst them being; natural water filtration systems, vegetable plantation, recyclables.
One tech savvy individual asks to know the wattage level being put out by each of our dozen or so Solar Panels which were donated by Transit TV.
I hear another conversation comparing this movement to New York's, which has been homaged in our eyes. And in our minds it has set a bar to which we all aim to follow. I often hear, "It works for New York..." before many suggestions to improve the efficiency of our community.
At 2:06 am the tribal drums still echo through the park. It has become the soundtrack to all of our lives. In our section, violin accompanies Spanish guitar. The high energy and noise continues in the background but becomes drowned out by the mellow plucking and bowing in the foreground.
I realize I am in the company of revolutionaries. And these are my comrades.
We are the new revolution.
This is not Che's revolution. Not even quite MLK's dream. But this IS - our reality.
We encompass all political backgrounds, religions, races and sexual connotations.
We are an amalgam of altruists; realists, radicals and pacifists. We are the 99% but this isn't about "us vs. them". This is about an innevitable shift occurring in the mentality of the human race. We have created an environment without the distraction of constant inundation and consumerism. An environment where it is encouraged to dialogue about how we can change things now.
Our past has been riddled with violence, tyranny and oppression. Never have we truly imagined a society of autonomous individuals.
As I lay in my tent contemplating what the future looks like - the future I want to be a part of, my children and their children... I begin to see it clearly. More clear then ever. We are the future.

I say, we are all 100%
We are 99% implies they are 1%, so it is We vs They. What we all need is the right to camp out on the lawns of our city halls. This is a state of Permanent Protest. Only then can we have a healthy and long-living democratic society. It is a spontaneous commune. We have formed a new government on the steps of the old. True communism is more democratic than capitalism. As long as we all help eachother, we will survive, and have the freedom to live, and keep doing what we are doing, for as long as possible.
