@ 3pm WE MARCH
The four winds converge to MARCH and SHUTDOWN THE FINANCIAL DISTRICT
and to engage in A DISCIPLINED, MASS, NONVIOLENT, DIRECT ACTION.
We assemble to show our power, solidarity, and discipline as a people, celebrating the strength of workers, dreamers, and oppressed peoples everywhere. We march together as a presence and force of resistance outside of a political process that leaves no room for the voice of the people. This creative action is inclusive of all, and organized for everyone to empower struggle in the face of repression and facilitate a clear call for revolutionary accountability from the perpetrators of mass injustice in our communities.
Many of us who march militantly do so, above all, for the safety and protection of all people on this action. We anticipate three different zones forming organically, and encourage fully informed participation in the M1GS march.
Red:
This attracts anti-capitalists, anti-fascists and other more militant comrades of a revolutionary bent. We encourage affinity groups to work together in a show of disciplined and organized resistance. This is the zone that is predisposed to standing their ground against the police.
Yellow:
This zone typically caters to people who are in between red and green, who are conscience of police repression and direct or mass actions but recognize some element of risk and would like to be cautious of escalation.
Green:
This attracts individuals who prefer a quieter, safer environment. Some of these groups may include the undocumented, differently-abled, children, families or anyone not wanting to come into direct confrontation with the police.
These zones do not serve to limit any individual’s actions but exist to facilitate a positive experience. In case the march is escalated by police repression, Pershing Square is considered a green zone for those who may feel uncomfortable.
IN CASE OF POLICE INTERACTION:
Do not panic.
Do not talk to the police.
Do not intervene in the actions of others.
If you feel unsafe, move away.
Provocateurs and Police Agents will spread false information and attempt to escalate the situation. Remain calm, do not panic. Do not spread information that has not been verified.
Remember, in the face of the adversary, WE SHOW FULL SOLIDARITY.
