Forums:
Greetings and Solidarity,
I am here with Occupy Los Angeles, first and foremost to stand in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street and every Occupation effort in The Movement. Our brothers and sisters at Occupy Wall Street have drafted, democratically submitted, and have been currently voting on a list of proposed demands.
Today is the very last day to take part in the final distilling of these proposals into one Unified Common Demand of the People.
Please review the list of proposed demands here, and follow the prompts to vote.
Participate in Democracy and Vote Here to Have Your Voice HeardI'm sorry for such a late notice, but I have been trying at various meets to bring this up, only to be disheartened and told in front of others, that laughed at me while being scolded like a child,
1. that "I was speaking out of line",
2. the following day at end of GA, I finally got to a mic to announce the voting, the facilitator attempted to grab the mic while I was speaking and slammed it into my face instead (by accident ... ) loosening my front teeth and cutting my lip.
So, I'm a bit broken and almost jaded, but - in loyalty to The Big Picture, I am making another attempt here to get this message out, and I speak from the safety of my own self-esteem and home. I have also been banned from blogging here so please... spread the word. (If this doesn't pass go - please be fair to the others and make an announcement, or edit etc.).
I see no signs or announcements here, but I believe there are some that would like to participate in the solidifying of The People's Unified Demands that are meant to inevitably arise from this great movement.
Please pass this information on to all. Today is the last day to participate.
In Solidarity,
Yvonne de laVega, Public Relations/Occupy Los Angeles.
