While many people are preparing for the General Strike, there are also many activists who are forming alliances with like-minded groups and individuals all around the country and world, creating workshops and conferences, producing original video and written content of all kinds, and even organizing sustainable communities complete with farming, time banks, bartering and numerous opportunities for sharing a variety of resources.
Legendary journalist and reporter Bill Moyers has returned to PBS and his new program "Bill Moyers and Company" has been focusing so far on the economic injustice perpetuated by Wall Street, the banks and much of the corporate world. In other words, the REAL NEWS. He has also reported on the Occupy Wall Street Movement providing some of the best coverage of the core issues of the 99% that I have seen yet.
Here is also a link to an interesting article that he recommends called 'New Rules For Radicals: 10 Ways To Spark Change In A Post Occupy World.' Could the author Sara Robinson already be talking about the future of Occupy as 'Post Occupy?' Here are the 10 topics.. The link to the complete article is below.
1.The world is different now. The rules have changed.
2. No despair. Despair is a waste of time and energy.
3. Try everything.
4. Trust the vision.
5. Focus on our goals, not on our enemies.
6. Expect resistance.
7. Find and nurture innovators.
8. Expect iterations, not perfection.
9. Celebrate every win, no matter how small. Every one matters.
10. Replicate success.
