Seems to me that this grass roots organization could have used a free blog account to get the word out, all this formal minutia does is create a position where money is being donated and there will be some legal type fat cats sitting at the top of this corporate structured company siphoning off money for their own pockets, there will be no call to judgement for these people and in essence the whole Occupy Movement has only created yet another fiduciary nightmare.
Believe me, I promise you someone at the top is pocketing money from this group and it will be damn near immposible to get them, they are sitting there right now lining their pockets because the unintelligent think this is an oportunity to experience some of what the baby boomers had in the 60's wake up people this isn't another Woodstock, its another Wall Street, Money isn't a neccessity so why are they asking for it and where is it going? this is grassroots supposedly an outcry against wall street greed and yet here we are feeding another level of greed.
Surely there is enough support domestically that everything we need as far as supplies can be generated via donation of the supplies, but instead the cry for money goes out and then we go and buy the products from the very companies we are opposed to, does it make any sense at all?
WAKE UP, some smart people are making out like overfed pigs because of this and I want to see transparency now!
Keep this grass roots and take down the donate tab NOW!

would love an answer to this, who's monitoring the money here, I mean we can't even get the food to the kitchen to be distributed before its stolen by occupiers, so how can we believe for one minute that we can trust that someone isn't lining their pockets? be nice to see some reply from the GA?

Yeah, a response from the GA would be nice. I would assume if there was money coming in to some bank account for this movement, it would be fully transparent. Is it not?

I worked in the kitchen yesterday 10/19/2011 and the tent is being staffed by volunteers - they could definietly use more! What I saw was people bring food directly to the food tent and then I was organizing it in the back and volunteers were upfront handing out items. I'm not part of the committee but I saw there was security at night time and there is security roaming the grounds as well as volunteer Peace Keepers. I didn't see a problem with people grabbing food - everyone was pretty nice about waiting until lunch/dinner was orgainzed and then handed out.

I was commenting on a respnse from teh GA yesterday about how the food that is being dropped curbside needs to actually make it to the tents, occuiers were stealing and distributing among their own little groups instead of getting it to the tent for distribution...
So GA please give us a response, where is the donated money now, who has the strings to the bank account? who's making decsions on where it is best used? I still contend we don't need any cash donations, this should all be donations in kind, lets see where the money is NOW!
