Sam Slovick has produced a series of videos that document the occupation of LA referred to on many occasions here. You can watch the five-part series at his YouTube channel if you haven't seen them all. Reason TV just produced a video about Mr. Slovick. Stolen property: Includes civil rights
As we watch the cascading loss of civil rights that seems to be directly related to peaceful protests against criminals operating behind the cloak of legitimacy, the following is article reminds us that a lot of the legislation produced recently is produced in the shadows. Unfortunately, we've been reminded of that fact, the heads-up provided by Global Guerrillas as it pertains to House Resolution 347.
“You don't even need to know you are breaking the law to be arrested and imprisoned. If you are merely walking in an area 'secured' for a person being protected, you can be legally jailed for up to one year.
“In short, if you are within the same building or neighborhood being secured to protect a political or foreign personage without their expressed permission, you can be imprisoned.”

Foreclosure action:
Margot Paez of InsideOutNews.org was on the scene for the latest foreclosure action, the eviction-deportation of Bianca Cardenas, proving once again that the “rule of law” only applies to the 99%.

Geithner arrested?
This is a rather bizarre video produced by Fox notable because it got almost no play from the mainstream media despite the fact it was broadcast on the mainstream media's flagship, Fox News.
Is this the “dramatic law enforcement action” Geithner promised when he spoke of the criminal conduct of financial services executives? Probably not. But at least somebody finally noticed that “withholding information” has been the foundation of the crooked bankers' business model.
March 8 event
Congratulations to Women Occupy (along with Code Pink) that executed one of the best occupation events to date with the March 8 International Women's Day. The following video promoted the event, and it serves as a reminder that these things are reliant not only the participation of those committed to OWS principles of solidarity, but the efforts of those that produced this video:
The super-hero theme was a great idea, and maybe they'll decide to stick with it in the future. It works because America's newest heroes aren't pudgy bankers that spend their time figuring out ways to steal other people's property and savings. There is nothing heroic about the behavior of our leading corporations, nor is the lapdog behavior of their regulators particularly inspiring.
These ladies proved that the real heroes in this scenario are those that have taken it upon themselves to stand up for the rights of all citizens, and shine the light of truth on the cockroaches that have infested not only Wall Street but the legislative bodies across the country. Good work.
Don't wait for the morons at KTLA to report any of it though. We've noted on many occasions that the alleged “news” organization is owned by the bankruptcy-bound Tribune Company which demonstrated their ability to focus on micro-issues while ignoring the real story behind the Occupation Movement. But they have also proved that the alternative media, staffed mostly by citizen journalists and volunteers, offer more in the way of newsworthy reporting than the comedy act that KTLA calls journalism.
Maybe KTLA is honoring the memory of Andrew Breitbart. If you haven't heard, he died at the age of 43 in Brentwood near his home after promising to release videos that would supposedly sink the campaign of Barack Obama. Turns out it was just hyperbole. The videos that Breitbart promised to release show Obama hugging an activist professor at an political event, not even worth the time it takes to watch it.
So Breitbart will be remembered for hyping a bullshit story (yawn), but we still get to look forward to the Citizen's United movie which the producers have threatened to release in the spring. This promises to be another facet of the Breitbart-bullshit legacy, but if it is as dismal an effort as the “wait till March 1” hype he used to promote his latest fart in a windstorm, it will prove that accuracy is antithetical to the mainstream portrayals of the movement. Here's one of Breitbart's last performances at the CPAC convention:
Rest in peace Andy. At least we don't have to tell you to chill out anymore.
