Now that a new war is being announced (some experts say the war already started with sanctions to Iran and PsyOps), let's take a look at some interesting and incredible figures about Iraq, Afghanistan and war spending in general:

1) We, the people, spent an average of $5,000 PER SECOND in wars during the past 9 years!

2) We, the people, spent $390,000 every time one U.S. soldier was depolyed for one year in Iraq.

3) We, the people, have hired more than 200,000 private contractors to maintain wars.

4) In the year 2010 we, the people, spent nine billion dollars in Iraq that were lost or unaccounted.

5) The direct cost of the Iraq war to the United States treasury were $1 trillion. That excludes the “downstream” costs of things like veterans benefits and long term care for the wounded.

If that figure of $1 trillion doesn't mean anything to you, let's take a look at what we could do with such a huge amount:

1) Paying for healthcare for every US citizen for 20 years would cost $100 billion.

2) Eliminate extreme poverty on planet Earth would cost $135 billion per year.

3) Immunize every child on planet Earth against deadly diseases cost $1.3 billion per year.

Now, coming back to the USA the question becomes:

Do we really have to lose our homes, be in debt for the rest of our lives, keep paying taxes to see how our money is wasted, live in tents, and go to bed with an empty stomach?
