ALSO: On Wednesday, OLA food committee is doing a rally in Beverly Hills at the same time as a $35,800 a plate fundraiser for Obama. The event is designed to highlight the corrupting role that big money plays in politics--it costs $35,800 for one dinner, contrast that with how many hungry people a food bank can feed for that same amount of money - 17,000 people!!! We'll use the event to kick off a fundraising drive for the Veggie Voucher program of Hunger Action LA which doubles the amount food stamps can buy at a farmer's market.
