When I strolled through the bustling Occupy L.A. encampment over the weekend I was struck by all those minds trying to sum up their objectives on pithy placards. It’s a tough task when so many outrages bubble around us.

For example, try to wrap your mind around the reality that our government, as we speak, is sending tax dollars to the government of Pakistan, which uses them to kill our troops in Afghanistan. Adm. Mike Mullen, as he stepped down from his job as chairman of the Joint Chiefs, called the insurgents who attacked the American Embassy in Islamabad “a veritable arm” of the ISI, Pakistan’s military intelligence service. Other U.S. officials have come out and blamed Pakistan specifically for suicide attacks against Americans in Afghanistan.

How does Washington react to these stabs to the chest? It proudly declares “Until we get through these difficulties, we will hold back some of the money that the American taxpayers have committed” to the Pakistanis. Those were the words of William Daley, Obama’s chief of staff. Now there’s a tough stand. We withhold some of the money.

Meanwhile, back in the U.S.A., paramedics, social workers, teachers, and such are laid off and the White House enters negotiations with tea partiers by announcing, okay, we’ll cutsome Social Security and Medicare benefits, but not all of them. You see a pattern here?

According to The Guardian, the U.S. has given Pakistan more than $47 billion in aid since 1948. Just about half of that has been for military assistance. In return Pakistanis have perpetrated genocide in Bangla Desh, attacked our troops, murdered residents and tourists in India, built nukes, and shared that technology with Iran, North Korea, and who knows who else. And they somehow never noticed Bin Laden staying in one of their guest rooms. No, I’m not seeking war with Pakistan. I am wondering why we pay it to do this stuff when we could use that money to save U.S. jobs and infrastructure. Our supreme leaders would answer that’s it’s complicated. This is how these creeps talk when they’re stuck doing something stupid and are so deeply enmeshed in it and so lacking in imagination that they just can’t figure out how to back away from what they're doing. These pinheads are so high in the clouds that they can’t identify with U.S. troops being murdered and crippled by their policies or with their families, who are supposed to sit down and shut up. The way to stop is to stop. No more aid to Pakistan, no more troops to Afghanistan or Iraq. No more stealing from the 99 percent to pay the 1 percent.

We all understand the concept of holding our noses and voting for the lesser of two evils, but are we supposed to support the politicians that fund only two or three wars without purpose instead of five or six? That give only some tax dollars to people trying to kill us instead of a whole bunch more dollars? At some point enough is enough. We’ve reached that point. Enough. Dump Pakistan. Occupy America.
