LISTEN TO THE RECENT MEDIA, MOST ARE SAYING THE MOVEMENT IS WEAK, OR DISORGANIZED, ANTI AMERICAN. MAYBE THEYRE TRYING TO BRING THE MORALE OF THE 99% DOWN. I BELIEVE ITS A CALL TO ACTION FOR ALL OF US WHO REALLY BELIEVE WE CAN DO SOMETHING. I SAY ALL THE ORGANIZERS FROM EVERY CITY, EVERY STATE SEND A REPRESENTATIVE SOMEWHERE TO ORGANIZE OURSELVES SO WE CAN REALLY MAKE AN IMPACT. WE CANT MAKE REVOLUTION WITHOUT EVOLUTION. WE MUST GROW OURSELVES OUT OF THE PARKS AND INTO A MORE COHESIVE UNIT. AMERICA CALLS ONCE MORE FOR HER SONS OF LIBERTY. WE NEED A NEW CONTINENTAL CONGRESS SORT OF BRAIN TO ALL OF THIS.

I think we have to educate folks how the media is bought, therefore bias and provides distorted news. Of course they will portray the movement as such, or may not even broadcast it all...People need to be aware of how limited our freedom is, that even what is shown on television is dictated by the 1%

I think I'm just eager to find out what happens next. I've been playing out this movement in my head like a game of chess. First we hit with protest, then they move by discrediting the movement with bad media. I wonder which piece is going to get played next. What do you think Mel..

Infinite outcomes! but overall im hoping the 1% will realize happiness doesnt equate money and they'll cooperate with the 99% Or it may get volatile, police will abuse their power, gain sympathy from the majority for the movement. im not sure! i do believe though, that the legislative needs to be held accountable for all this dismay, not necessarily the president(s).

Great idea, Pat! We'll have our own Continental Congress!
I also think we need to start reaching out and trying to convince the fence-sitters to join us and become part of the process of shaping our message, instead of complaining about the lack of what they see as clear demands. Colbert is awesome! I think their next move is going to be infiltrators provoking violence with the police and setting up fake sites and fake spokesmen to try to confuse people about our aims, especially to make us appear as a bunch of unpatriotic radicals and lunatic fringe.
True Patriots do not worship the Flag and accept the dictates of their Government without question; they hold their Government accountable to the Ideals it espouses.

would it kill us to display some flags? maybe go a bit pre-emptive against the un-American smear.

patnavaja... i love your description about playing out the end game; i've witnessed this unfold since 1994 after learning accounting for sustainable society when worlds largest super-cray computer model predicted un-sustainable society because we would shift resources from production of goods and services for people, to maintenance and repair of environment because of... mistakes (BP gulf, valdez, bophol, chernobyl). See 3 possibilities, current system w/us economic slaves; change government systems to democratic; throw out current system start over. Hmmmm, peoples choice, i help w/2/3.
Accountability

Accountability US question 1:
Do you know where your money goes? How many Americans are aware our government illegally used depleted uranium weapons in the second gulf war… a violation of international laws against the use of illegal weapons of mass destruction… evidence, start with:
December 2007
UN General Assembly passes DU resolution
On December 5th, 136 countries vote in favour of a resolution highlighting serious health concerns over the use of depleted uranium weapons.
What other votes were made and outcomes…
What 2 countries voted in the UN against making depleted uranium weapons illegal WMD?
How and what are the cost and benefits of our actions in this issue recorded in our GDP?
Did we accurately estimate, share and consider the collateral damage?
Ya know its your outcome bought with your money, there is no they: just US.
The Point: Wake UP and be responsible, start by loving and learning:)
Accountability US question 2:
What would happen to the nations GDP in a hypothetical situation if an oil rig blew out in the gulf and pumped gobs of oil into the water degrading natural resource stocks?
Would we record this as a depreciation or depletion to natural stocks?
What natural stocks would be recorded?
Which ones would be ignored?
Who would do the measurement using what standards produced and certified by who?
What would happen if we mistakenly recorded the cleanup work under contracts and added the cost to the value of our GDP, while forgetting about changes to value in natural stocks?
Who would know the difference?
Accountability US question 3:
What is the DOE referring to when they use the term: human dose receptor?
Who and how decides the time frame for computing long term affects?
But my point has nothing to do with the issues above: it is all about you!!!
… a comfortable feeling is growing in me watching this unfold… Because we can:)

i fear infiltrators too, i think they will somehow provoke the police and when the police eventually hit us, we will fight back and that will be the excuse for congress to label the movement as an insurgency, then in the eyes of the 1% who control the media, we are all committing treason and terror, with the violence possibly on the rise gives way for military intervention. Thats why i feel so heavily on constructing some sort of new congress. though my fears are probably years from existance (assuming im even close to being right) a million voiceless as one can tell the world we ve had enough but where do we go from here. i fear the bigger the occupations get around the nation, without having some sort of head committee to lead us forward, the very evils we see to abolish will find its way into our ranks via infiltrators and ruin the cause. i feel the first step of revolution is coming to an end and now we must build a bridge to what comes next.

Submitted by cryptomnesiac on
Are we interested in the opinions of the 1%? They're free from any struggle to meet the necessities of their daily lives, so any "work" they take on is purely voluntary or born of sheer greedy momentum. Which means they've had ample opportunity to demonstrate some level of humanity or an awareness of anything outside their insulated tribal enclaves, assuming their solipsism allows their perception to extend that far -- perhaps I'm still being too generous to people whose unchallenged self-delusions have rotted their minds to a degree rivaling history's most infamous and wealthy hedonistic monsters. I believe today's bankers will join sociopathic robber barons and inbred monarchs in the pantheon of amoral scum who found themselves the beneficiaries of a ruined economic and social construct.
Nothing that's transpired over the last decade has lead me to conclude there's anything within the 1% capable of regulating their behavior beyond the selfish and myopic. Depending on them to "do the right thing" for once -- or that, through some convoluted network of their selfish and destructive acts things would magically work out -- was the rationale behind the deregulation which lead us here. Speaking for myself, I'm not interested in their opinions; their brains are mulch. I'm not interested in their choices; they took ours away through bribery and wage theft. I'm not interested in their complaints; it took thousands of people camping on the streets just to make ours register at all.
No, it's far too late for all that. This is not a negotiation with the 1%. We will not go away, and we will grind this system, which has betrayed us, to a halt. The government will be corrected, and the 1% will be held accountable, and will pay their share (which will still be far less than they owe for their crimes).
If the government, and their owners, decide to try to crush this movement by force, it'll be because they fear us achieving our goals. They don't need an excuse from us. Short of blatantly breaking the law, I don't believe what we do will affect how existing powers handle things.

@brad im 19 y.o, i was 2 years old when you started seeing all of this unfold. its the people like you who are the true revolutionaries behind all of this. So i guess u can say, the young uneducated patriot comes to the wise revolutionaire and asks, with all your sort of studying through almost 20 years, at this point and time what is do you see next for the occupation. others have stated having speakers of a new congress is a bad idea, ive read your possibilities but how should we work to achieving them.

When you start talking about setting up alternative Congresses then you are coming close to sedition. The Constitution gives you the means to implement changes to the federal government and that is via an Article V National Constitutional Convention.

youre right, I fear I was high on Thomas Paine that day. We just need to fix congress so it represents the majority of the people, not the interests of the upper class? What do you think about the suggestion from Anonymous about constructing a party of the people to represent us, personally I feel it's a good idea.

Being together in a large group is good for visibilty and PR. The drawback is that IF the riot squads attack, we are concentrated. Running, dispersing creates chaos. Better to stay put and peaceful civil disobedient non-resistance. We are the zebras, they are the lions.
Form your own small groups to agree to where to meet after. Plan it like you would do for your family for a fire alarm.
Notice that when pepper spray / mace was used against peaceful occupiers, there were plenty of other occupiers ready with water to flush the faces of those that had been attacked. Everyone should carry sufficient water for this purpose.
Know that the 1% is now SCARED. That's why their tools in media and congress are labeling us with sinister names and tired slogans. This means we are closer to victory than many suspect. We need only look to Egypt as to how fast genuine change happens.
For 198 methods of non-violent resistance, go to aeinstein.org
Many of these are already in play. Some do not apply, and some should be avoided.
