I am wondering if there has been any interest in creating some large protest puppets.

I ask because I would be very interested to volunteer to help create something large, vivid and iconic.

I've been doing puppetry my whole life and am pretty sure I could be a valuable asset. I don't want to just build something and show up. I would prefer to work with others who would be interested in generating such an image making figure.

Has anyone discussed something along these lines?

I have some ideas/designs but don't want to presume if others are already working on something.

The basic idea is something that is along the lines of a "Bread and Puppet" style of large pangeant puppet, but my aim would be to make something that has real quality, can be used many times, and is user friendly.

I have seen recent examples of some figures coming out of Occupy Wall Street, but am pretty sure with the talent here in LA being so infused with people in the Entertainment industry we should be able to generate something that is eye catching.

Just wondering...would love to get any feedback on this.
