Opposing mightily the Mubarak government's
Corruption, brave people of Tahrir Square
Connected with one another on the Internet
United ninety-nine percent of people everywhere
Protesting the one percent's plutocracy.
Yes, Africa, humanity's first home,
Let loose this wave of direct democracy
Onto 100 cities worldwide where we roam!
Spread our just and fair words, near and global:
All people should enjoy their labor's fruits--
Not as rich as the 1%, but just as noble.
Government hands them out the loot;
Existing institutions have betrayed our trust.
Leaders of both major parties coddle
Elites, the 1%, while we do what we must,
Saving one and all from a Third World model.
II.
Our words are many, for we are the ninety-nine percent
Comprising workers wearing white, blue, and pink collars
Comprising even businesses that pay their bills and rent.
United as a social movement, we stand taller
Peering at the corporations which are "too big to fail"
Yet speak with money for the votes that mean they won't—
Loot paid to both the major parties, as though bail;
Only no one faced a charge. And still, they don't!
Students and the jobless, we, the ninety-nine percent,
Are defrauded of our homes and our democracy.
Now we call for charging all the suspects—we dissent!
Go take the streets, parks, sidewalks, seeking parity!
Expressing our demands while we still have the choice!
Longing for justice, a poor excuse for which is charity!
Employees of the 1% claim we don't speak with one voice;
Statements we adopt, however, speak for us with clarity.

Our cause is just, our hands bear olive branches:
Commitment by the people to undoing
Corruption in government—all three branches
Untrimmed by Wall Street! We're renewing
Popular sovereignty; the march advances;
You and I—the people—rule this land.
Let no ill-gotten gain oppress the free!
O people, it's not hard to understand
Some artificial person's not like you or me!
And let the 1% pay their fair share of taxes,
Not sheltered, once thought to help the economy.
Get back to the system that justly enriches
Everyone who plays by, not rewrites the rules.
Lop-sided distribution of the wealth
Empties hopes, drains our economy of fuels,
Stifles innovation, and taxes health.

The Patriot's Call to Occupy
Our present Form of Government's become destructive,
Crushing Life and Liberty, pursuit of Happiness.
Concerning this state, Nature's law is instructive.
Usurpations and abuses, then as now, oppress
People under absolute Corporatism!
Yes, it's our right and duty to throw off such Government,
Losing its just power as we withdraw our consent.
Our right to alter or abolish it, our mechanism.
Safety and Happiness of all People lay
At the foundation of, and shall be effected by the
New Government's powers, come that hope-filled day.
Government of, by, and for the People electively.
Equal we were created, so no privilege
Lies to exempt the few behind a corporate veil.
Equal as we are, we reject any hedge
Suggesting workers and homeowners should fail!
