Some Occupy L.A. protesters may get a lesson in free speech

Prosecutors say they can avoid court trials by paying $355 to a private company for an educational program. The irony is not lost on the anti-corporate activists, who see it as patronizing.

Please don't miss this excellent overview and commentary on this horrible subject:

"Perhaps Mr. Carter should just on with it and suggest that free speech that he finds egregious may be costly for the citizen. Maybe we can just privatize free speech all together, since corporations are people, and anyone who speaks out in a way that offends the corporate Gods will be charged before speaking, thus saving us all of this pesky funneling of money to private entities at the end."

Free Speech schools??? Whose kidding whom?

What? The 1% are offering "free speech" classes as an alternative to jail?  God, there are so many ironies in that, it would be hard to count them all.  In any case, it sounds like a good opportunity to occupy their "free speech" classes and show them what a little free speech really looks like - MIC CHECK!  MIC CHECK! MIC CHECK!

they put one of yours in the hospital,

you put six of theirs on Utube.
