I've just been coming to OLA since OWS was raided. I don't know all the stories. I posted these in comments last night in Jim's Topic Post (We all make mistakes, no big deal). Decided to post in a forum. ***See in Jim's posts the originals***
I, like everyone like Mario/Juan, harmless, so I thought. The problem is he's a big problem, a huge problem. If you've actually listened to him, he hits on his one liners, about once in every 10 times, IT IS those 9 other times, when he misses, badly, about women, gays, blada the ole macho bullshit, that is the problem. What may not be apparent to those who are at the GA a lot, is how awful it sounds online, AWFUL. Maybe you haven't noticed that people tune in & chat, post comments from all over the world. It's just GROSS. The other thing is it's hard enough to hear what someone is saying to start with. To have my train of thought interrupted by harmless "Le Macho," to me whose entire life has been the butt of, is VERY distracting. I'm not going to commit an evening, let alone, to a waste of time.
I know the movement is young, most of you are young, but I am 60, and time is a bit different, a bit more. So I'm just going to stay away from OLA's GA's until you all, excuse the term "have the balls" to correct the Juan problem. If you want people to join & fight, could you cut out the God-damned "off color commercials"? I don't NEED my buttons pushed! Sorry. I'll follow Oakland, SF or Berkeley.

It was actually "TURN ON, drop out"
See that's what happens when you get old-eeoarrr. Things mesh :)
