It's Time to Unite and Take Action

Dear Internet Users:

The time has come for us to take action and reclaim what rightfully belongs to us.  It is imperative that the government and the corporate media listen to our voices once and for all.

We are a class of oppressed and exploited people, united in tragedy, despair and frustration, while the ones at the top look down on us like a plague that must be extinguished.

We are tired of suffering in silence and living in misery.  We are fed up.  We are the majority, the 99% of the population both in Los Angeles and all over the world.

Many of us are homeless, unemployed, hungry, up to our ears in debt, and with nothing else left to lose.  But precisely therein lies our power.  The blood of all of those who have perished due to past injustices now cries out through us, and we are not going to take the abuse any longer.

People who are still unaffected by the economic crisis and who are sitting comfortably at home watching the news poke fun at our movement and laugh at us because they are blind to our struggles.

They wonder why we're so angry and mock us because they think we're a bunch of hippies who want the impossible and we want it now.

Yet what very few onlookers refuse to see is that the unholy alliance between Washington and Wall Street has built its empire on our backs.  We are the slave race of this generation, and we are fighting for freedom.  For years, they have dehumanized us, worked us like mules and reduced us to little more than bricks in the wall.

The way they got away with it for so long was by keeping us blind, making us believe in the illusion of the all-mighty dollar, always holding out the unattainable in front of us, creating false hopes of abundance in an attempt to keep bleeding the life and dignity out of us.

But in the same way that the Hebrew slaves eventually escaped from ancient Egypt, and the Jews were rescued from Nazi concentration camps, and the African American slaves were freed from bondage, so too shall we, the oppressed class of the present era, see our chains fall to the ground.

This is a fight for justice, for independence and, above all, freedom.

What the world is watching now is only the beginning.  The spirit of the revolution is driving us protesters forward with an inexplicable force that is beyond our own understanding.  We are relentless in our pursuit of freedom and justice, and no amount of police brutality or fascist, dictatorial laws will have the power to stop the inevitable.

The Occupy Movement is here to stay and it is only going to grow more numerous and gain more momentum.

We have the power in numbers, so let them laugh and underestimate us.  They ain't seen nothing yet.
