Serious in OCC L.A.

Listen, I'm gunna piss someone off. I don't want to, but here we go. Sorry in advance.

I'm concerned with they way we at the occupation are being viewed. In NYC they are being laughed at by the press, passers by and wall st. The fact they pulled out champaign to mock occ NYC proves they are assholes and think it's all a joke. Representing with blue dreds is sending the wrong message. Having a party atmosphere is sending the wrong message. Don't think protests in Greece were speckled with people trying to make the scene like it was the 60's.

I figure people are going to take this the wrong way. I understand and am ready to be attacked by those offended. I too had dyed hair at one time, and was and still am covered in tattoos. To be taken a little more seriously when down town, I put on a long sleeve shirt. No collar or anything, just don't want to stand out. Just as if we had a job interview or were seeing an old loved grandparent that just wouldn't understand. Like the mask, anonymous. Don't give them anything to put us or our views down. Again, I'm sorry.

Do Not Be Afraid! Do Not Hide!

Do not worry that the greedy 1% will not approve of you exercising your right to speak and be heard. Lay to rest any hopes that they will ever embrace the human right to flaunt color, style, and personality. They will never accept you no matter what you say or do. They hate and fear the new, original, and the unknown. Pandering to the super rich and powerful will only encourage them to strengthen their hold on their unsustainable status quo. Their lifestyle's deficit REQUIRES their "subordinates", the 99%, to shut up and work harder until death. Let their sons and daughters childishly mock this global revolution, for that is all they can do and they know it. They will never bring this conflict to arms in a second civil war because they know their loss would be swift and relentless. Political protests by their very nature cannot be politically correct. WE ABSOLUTELY MUST STAND OUT!!! Hiding only begets more hell.

I am sorry that you feel it necessary to apologize just for speaking your opinion. This revolution is for you. You are the 99% too! ;)

What gives up power is our

What gives up power is our diversity.  Some with dreds, some with tats, and some with grey hair.  They are ignoring us because it's what they do.  They are laughing because it's what they do.  I've had talks with people who think we're "nuts" because of coverage.  When they realize the diversity of the movement they are won over.
