The great thing about the idea of the spam bots on Occupy site forums is they shoot themselves in their respective feet. The idea I'm supposing is either straight up advertising for a product, or just to annoy, demoralize, or somehow disrupt the flow of forums.

What they serve to do however is to keep bumping posts and topics. Any newcomers see a fresh selection of Occupy discussion. Basically it's free PR for past posts and topics.

Not too bad a thing.
