There is talk in Buffalo about starting an OCCUPY movement against Debt Collection Agencies. Why not turn this into a nationawide campaign? I'm surprised that these criminals have escaped virtually untouched during these past few months. DCA's are nothing more than evil minions dishing out the bank's dirty work. It's just not right that while institutions like BofA are trying to milk every cent out of struggling families, students and unemployed who are unable to pay off their debts, bank execs are continually running up billions of dollars in corporate debt to pay for ludicrous bonuses, free services and goods for their own personal use. And, they still have the nerve to ask for bailouts? What's your opinion on this? I nominate that American take to local DCAs and start a nationwide Occupy Debt Collection Agencies ASAP. What about sometime this week, or ASAP?

I'm sorry, I disagree with the Occupy movement wanting "forgive all debt" stipulations. Yes, these companies have arguably immoral business practices but they're not cheating us, at least not directly. If you don't want to be in debt to them, don't take out a loan. It's as simple as that.
This is one of the issues that gives outsiders a negative view of us.
Nobody loves a debt collector.

Please read carefully. There's a difference between forgiving all debt and fighting debt collection agencies.
There are issues that give outsiders a negative view of us, but taking on debt collectors isn't one of them by a long shot. Nobody likes them or feels any sympathy for them, and for good reason. It's an infamously nasty, crooked industry. Even the agencies that actually put some effort into making sure that the debts they buy are valid--and that's not all of them, by any means--are known far and wide for the abusive, predatory, and dishonest tactics they use to hound people to pay.
