Trust me, Occupy L.A. WILL move.

At 12:01am Monday, November 28th, we will find out how committed OLA is to the movement. My guess is, this "Movement/Revolution" will comply with the LAPD and move like they are told. Shorty after, OLA will fizzle away. The war waged against the Los Angeles City Hall's lawn has been won. Congratulations.

Sidewalks

People might move to the sidewalks where they wont be violating the law - but creating a much more dangerous situation (cars) then the justification given for removing them.

Learn from Occupy Denver's mistake

This is from Occupy Denver.  Please learn from our mistakes.

We did not fight for our tents and it was a mistake.  The riot police with their Robocop costumes was just too intimidating.  Denver has no experience with confronting the police.

After they tore down the tents, the spirit of Occupy Denver was never the same.  Previously there was camaraderie and a sense of community that comes from living in one place for so many days.  After the tents were trashed the wind was taken out of us.  People went back to their apartments and started to just show up only for the Saturday marches.  The energy has dissipated.

You can’t have an occupation without establishing a physical presence.  Otherwise it just becomes a protest/march that you have every Saturday.  That is not an “occupy”.

Live feeds of police and emergency dispatch

Here's a web site of live feeds of police and emergency radio dispatches and channels in Los Angeles County: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?ctid=201

As the eviction time gets closer, it's just an idea but some folks on the ground could be listening to LAPD radio frequencies and perhaps get a heads up of the eviction plans/strategies, perhaps even record them if they resort to tactics that knowing violate laws.

From what I understand, Mayor

From what I understand, Mayor V initially offered the group a downtown building to occupy for $1 a year for 10 years, but has since pulled that offer. I haven't been keeping up with things here unfortunately. Did the group's leaders(are there any leaders) reject that initial offer. Seems to me that accepting would have been a smart move giving the group a base of operations.

General Assembly Rejects Offer

Just did some checking and saw that the General Assembly rejected Mayor V's offer citing that the top 1% should pay for the Occupy movement's stay, not the general taxpayers. They seem to forget that the top 1% pay local and state taxes too. I think the G.A. made a very serious mistake here. As the saying goes, never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Dont lose focus Occupy isnt over its just moving to a new locati

There is also a saying, not to sell your soul to the devil either..

I for one want to say a few things..The eviction is not an ending to the movement, its just a move, time to move  somewhere else. Dont let this move change your passion your goals, it is just a change it is taking a different course.

I want to thank everyone who was involved and will continue to be with Occupy, I thank you for being my voice, I thank you for sleeping in those tents nights after night, I want to thank you for all the sacrifices you all made for each and everyone one of us..I want to thank you for taking a stand with pride and honor. You were heard, I hear you, you changed my life, my thinking. I read somewhere today a gentlemen wrote, I wish I could of done more, I think you have done so much and should really be proud of what you have done, it was not easy and it took courage, intregrity and respect. Thank you for being so giving and for loving your brothers and sisters. I feel more alive and hopeful than I have felt it so many years. I am happier knowing that the day I leave this world, I leave my most loved ones with a new world because today is a just a beginning of things to come, Lets all remember we can stand up for ourself everyday in so many ways, what we buy, where we buy it, what we do , how we treart each other. We must remember things our parents taught us, simple things such as opening a door for an elderly person, greeting someone, it is all those simple things that make such a great difference. Lets respect each other and not allow all this greed to come into our life anymore, we dont need bigger TV's and bigger toys, bigger home's, we need to be together and share, not that is anything wrong with having nice things, but people are much more important, our feelings, our thoughts. Lets just remember to respect each other. Occupy brought us together. The movement was not about race, color, religion, it was a basic need to have your dream ( The American Dream ) to feel like you are a productive person. To be able to provide for your family. To have good jobs, and go to school if you want without going bankrupt. We must find a way to remove the corruption but we still have to educate our kids not to feel so entitled, so they dont become greedy and not care about peoples needs. It all starts at home, take some time to reflect on things and remember everything you do is important so try and make better choices. I will forever be thankful to the Occupy Movement, I will frame some of the pictures and flyers I was able to collect, I will wear my bracelete and think about Occupy everyday..So once again I want to say thank you to the many who have taken the time to stand up for us. That I appreciate it and I will follow your example. So thank you again and again. The world has woken up..Go peacefully and regroup somewhere else dont let them take away your dignity, you are the rolemodels for many people, you have some power now, dont let them take that away..It has been a good Movement !!!   Peace
