Midnight Solidarity with Zuccotti Park

Stirred by the images broadcasted on the NYC stream, occupiers in L.A. conducted a midnight solidarity march through Downtown Los Angeles on Monday night.  They were joined by 40 of LAPD's finest, dressed in riot gear, probably none too happy to be there.  As the protesters were ending their march, the Police joined / escorted them on their way back to Camp City Hall.  We thank the police for joining us, but we ask that they bring signs instead of batons and other weaponry next time.  After all, we are a peaceful movement.

New York City has arguably seen more instances of police abuse than any other occupation.  If you would like to contact the NYPD and let them know what you think, you can reach them at: (646) 610-5000.

Residents of New York are calling for the resignation of Mayor Bloomberg.  Mayor's office: (212) NEW-YORK

So far, the only statement from Occupy Wall St. is: "We Will Reoccupy!"

We trust that Occupy Wall St. will re-occupy the park, even in the face of intolerable police conduct, harsh weather, covert and overt sabotage, and the crime wave that has been spreading across occupations in recent days.  To Zuccotti park we extend our best wishes and deepest appreciation for spearheading this movement.
