A bit confused...Why City Hall?

Forums:

Hello Occupiers and angry media outlet readers...

I am here voicing my concern.

WHY ARE WE AT CITY HALL!?

If we wan't people to listen to us, then we need to be around people to listen. Instead we have set up at the desolate City Hall. The only people we are interfereing with are the city officials who don't care, or the ones that don't have enough support or backing to change anything. The city wants us off of the grass anyways, why not find somewhere more effective?

What comes to mind first is Hollywood Blvd, between Highland and La Brea. The infastructure is there to close it down. It is done almost weekly. Your exposure will reach far further than it ever could at city hall, and more importantly, WE WILL BE IN PEOPLES WAY! It will help expand the movement by putting occupiers with the exremely concentrated amounts of tourists that frequent the area, to truly learn what we are about and stand for.

The film industry is Los Angeles' Wall St. Upset these people. These people are the ones to be mad at. If you want change, then get in the way of the people that can make it happen.

If you get in the way of the cities money, they are a lot more likely to listen. Much moreso than hanging out in a corner far away from where the action of Los Angeles lives, not really interefereing with anyone.

I fully understand and agree with Occupy's non-violent approach. Unfortunately non-violence has turned into listening to, and doing whatever we are told. We should remian peaceful, but get in the way of things.

Hopefully I am not the only one that feels this way.

Cheers.

Flashmob

You're not the only one.  I agree wholeheartedly.

I was thinking, why not use the flashmob tactic of showing up unexpectedly in various parts of town?

Think of the watercooler conversations this would inspire:

"I was late for work today because the occupiers were flashmobbing in front of my office building and I couldn't get in."

Occupy, disrupt, leave quickly, and move on to the next place...

Get into their comfort zone.  Disrupt their routines.

Be peaceful.  Friendly.  Smile :)  But make your presense felt.
