Occupy San Diego Celebrates 1 Year!

With one year under their belt and the group just getting their walking feet, there is a two day celebration this weekend commemorating the 1 year anniversary of 1000 people coming out last year in support of the occupy movement.  The group spent their first night last year at Children’s Park before moving a 100 tent encampment to the Civic Center the next day. The group experienced their first two raids Oct. 14 and Oct. 28 of 2011 and had dwindling numbers that have never recovered since.  This weekend seems to be sparking an interest again among the people and OSD is hoping for a large turn out.

The two day schedule is below.
