Dylan Ratigan works for MSNBC.  MSNBC is part of NBC Universal.  NBC Universal is owned 51% by Comcast and 49% by General Electric ("GE"):

Comcast paid politicians to pressure the FCC to OK the NBC-Universal merger, which created a media monopoly.  They want to control who can broadcast what and where, which determines what you get in terms of entertainment and information:

GE is one of the world's biggest war profiteers and worst polluters. They also sold the nuclear reactors that failed at Fukushima.  They want to control the news you watch, especially as it relates to their enterprises, earnings and image:

Dylan Ratigan does his bosses' bidding on his TV shows, and here's how it works:  Either he or his "panel" almost always start out saying what we want to hear, then end up telling us what to think.  It's subtle.  It's psyops...

I disagree

We can't make this into an "I HATE ALL CORPORATIONS AND EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THEM" movement. We need to work on improving the system not rejecting it wholly. If we are going to start getting this picky about things, when MSNBC has actually been covering the OWS ina  favorable manner for the most part especially compared to other media outlets, then where do you draw the line. I saw an LL Bean tent at City Hall. I saw a hundred other products created by corporate America. What about that computer you are using to post this? What about the ISP you are using to hook up to the internet to be able to post this? See where this goes. I think we need to be careful not to reject the system completely but rather improve and work within it. There is a certain amount of reality and perspective that is needed to make this movement remain strong and keep the support of the American people. These fights are not won overnight. They won after years and decades. Patience. We will get there but we need to start somewhere and the fastest way to kill this movement is by making it about something most Americans can't get behind like rejecting corporations completely.  It's actually hypocritical to pretend like you could actually do that and function in society.
