I implore those that CAN NOT Camp or march....

...PLEASE do not JUST sit on the sidelines. Thank you. Go ahead Click Here to Donate cash. Gather up those things around your house (or storage unit) that OLA NEEDS and take it downtown. You know like
tents
sleeping bags
tarps,
blankets
pillows
WINTER COATS
older laptops gathering dust (ones that are WIFI capable please)
heavy duty extension chords
power strips
flashlights
AND the next time you are at COSTCO or Sam's Club, pick up an extra case or two of
water,
toilet paper
vitamin C
big boxes of Granola/Energy bars,
pudding cups,
bags of jerky,
boxes of individual serving snacks
chips cookies or anything that can sustain people and feed their hungers and thirsts take THAT downtown too.
Take it ALL down to the FIRST Street side of City Hall just south of Spring St, where the DONATIONS tent is located. Whoever you are, the odds are pretty good you have been duped, wronged and stolen from by the 1% and YOU are part of the 99% too. How can you tell?
Well, do you feel you have been duped, wronged and stolen from by SOMEBODY? DID YOU, a good friend, or a loved one LOSE YOUR JOB after 5, 10, or 20 years of working there? Did you have a 401K that is now a .101K? Did you or a friend or a family member lose their house to the predatory lending of the big banks? Did you buy your house at the wrong moment and now find yourself struggling to make the payments when the market value is about one third to one half of what you paid for it? Did any of the bail out money the US Treasury shelled out find its way to you? Got It?
I understand if you (like ME) cannot Occupy or even march now and then. These may not be your gigs because of your life style and circumstances. But be assured that there IS SOMETHING you can do to support the Occupiers and Marchers who are FIGHTING for your freedoms too. Those who are doing the heavy lifting REQUIRE ALL OUR SUPPORT, to the extent that we can muster. Do get down to City Hall. Make the personal investment of talking to the people camping there. If you find someone who IS dedicated, who IS doing the heavy lifting for you, kinda adopt them. Find out and then bring THEM what they need, and IF it is a case of water and granola bars, or your old winter coat or that old lap top, so be it. Just Do It! Thanks..

Will I get a photo of my adopted occupier? If they aren't cute enough can I select another? Will he/she write me letters every month?
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves - in their separate, and individual capacities. -Abe

Also, if you are not able to camp out, please volunteer.
Suggestions for those who can't walk fast or walk long distances but still want to be an active part of Occupy LA? No offense but I haven't seen a lot of available opportunities or ideas for those who want to participate but are physically limited.
I Occupy because I may be physically limited but I am not dis abled.
I Occupy because everyone should have equal opportunities.
I Occupy because I am not afraid to stand up to greed and corruption
