www.OccupyLA.com and The People's Voice and Vote

Nevada's picture

Forums:

So, the guy who owns the domain www.OccupyLA.com is gonna launch it shortly.  I encouraged him to address some of the issues that Occupy Los Angeles is having with regard to no accountability and no general assembly majority vote.  Glad the people got the microphone back, though.  I sure did have to rant and rave for justice there:  was harder than hell to have to fight for justice when so many goons wanted suppression of the People's voice.  Luckily my voice was loud enough to get that done.   One down and two more to go for the People !!  Crazy how committees think they have the power to take away the microphone without even asking the general assembly.

Accountabilty and majority vote are still issues that need to be resolved.  Work on that People, or your movement is gonna fizz out rapidly.

So, remember, look for the new and up and coming www.OccupyLA.com web site.  This domain owner is rational, smart and a good activist.

Power to the People ... and don't let the Communists hijack your group,
Nevada

Yep, "Nevada" is Still Here...

....being negative and up to the usual dirty tricks. Peeps can say anything they want in the Forums, so why the fraudulent web site, highjacking OLA's name, but nothing to do w/ it? Just two corporate-funded goons who want a platform they control so they can 'speak for' & 'lead' OLA and confuse the wider public? No thx. We're immune.

You're not the "People's Voice" Nevada, far from it. We will identify our issues, work through them together and move forward without being distracted or co-opted by corporate lackies of your ilk. If you want to say something, say it here, but from now on be honest about identifying the entity you work for and your bosses' adgenda.

Like all trolls, you're exceedingly tiresome but impotent.

You can say anything you want in the forums...if we agree.

"Peeps can say anything they want in the Forums"

No, not true really. I have seen three threads deleted in the past week. (who knows how many there actually were deleted) Two of the threads contained no content that justified being deleted. One was filled with a bunch of racist remarks so I can understand why that one was deleted. The thread that was deleted today had ZERO controversial content so I have no idea why it was deleted. My guess is that one of the women participating in the thread had moderator access & deleted it because she didn't agree with what was being said. I can't say for sure because no mods/admins will respond to my post.

The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves - in their separate, and individual capacities. -Abe

Spoke to her in person.

Spoke to her in person. Nobody's missing anything.

She's a robot like Michele Bachmann. Answer and correct her, and she restates her original premise without even acknowledging it. Talk about something else, she drags the topic to the only one she'll allow: vague complaints about the GA, and personal attacks. There is nothing beyond that.

I didn't see the threads you referred to...

...Mahanyana so I really don't know. You could try asking the Mod again. We're supposed to have transparency, so I imagine they would explain the action. If it was done by an individual, for their own reasons, the thread could be restored.

They really should IMHO leave the title up & explain in the body why the action was taken, rather than have threads just disappear. One or two words would do, "racist content", "troll", etc.

Sorry Mike, I made the decision...

...not to spend any time on the dem/repug candidates. Getting outraged takes too much energy. I spent my whole outrage budget for the month on "Nevada's" blithley-announced, fraudulent, phoney-baloney OLA web site (as if such an abhorrently dirty trick was normal and acceptable behavior).

Maybe a write-in candidate could be organized (at the national GA in July, if that works out) whom the 99% would want to get behind. There must be some decent people out there somewhere. Grayson, Kucinich, Warren, Schneiderman? Who could you put up with?

Of course voting remains problematic, between remotely-hackable electronic voting machines, voter-suppression laws & dirty tricks, voting really doesn't mean much anymore.

Oh, I wasn't talking about

Oh, I wasn't talking about politics. I meant that Nevada seems like she's in a Bachmann-esque trance, and just repeats the same cants over and over and over. When she's given a platform, she says the same shit. When she's told it's already been addressed, she says the same shit.

To paraphrase the Joker, she's like a dog chasing cars: she wouldn't know what to do with one if she got it.
