Downtown L.A., as we all know, is "home" to somewhere between 75,000 and 100,000 homeless, by far the largest concentration of urban homeless anywhere in the U.S. Though many suffer from addiction and mental illness, or both, they are still our natural allies. They are anarchists by nature if not identity and most have had to deal with the abusive and coercive social services provided by the city and state.

I suggest a solidarity march through the homeless sector downtown could be enormously effective, accompanied by a press release stating our solidarity with our homeless brothers and sisters. Some may choose to come stay with us, believe me, they know all there is to know about camping, there is much to learn from our homeless brothers and sisters. If some are dirty or act a bit weird, so what? No one could be stranger than the fat cats who rob all of us.

I think this is a golden opportunity that should not be missed and we should all remember that the way things are going many of us could very well become homeless too. No longer should the homeless be considered the untouchables of modern american society, they are the barometer, the truth, the future for most of us if we do not act now!

I can think of no more effective media event for Occupy L.A. The rich fear and despise the homeless, their reactions in the press alone would show the whole world who they really are and how they think and devalue life.

 I live in New York and have been homeless in the recent past, please hear my words. No such concentration of the homeless exists in New York, if it did I would advocate similar action here.
