Hey everyone, I am working to facilitate a group of occupiers to go down to spend the night on sunday with Occupy San Diego. The current situation there is they have about 50 or so occupiers, and the police have been good with them, however they can not have tarps and tents as we have here in LA. We are tentatively plannning to send a group of people to San Diego on Sunday later morning/early afternoon, and returning (if they choose) on monday.

Good start

Just sending people's a good start but we need to consider a sustained relocation plan. For an occupation to be self-sustaining it must be large enough to be able to peacefully defend its ground against police. This means that long term we need to figure out a plan to bolster their numbers so that they cannot be evicted.
Civil disobedience is what this is all about, the LAPD played nice but the SDPD don't apparently, we need to truly back them up. If they can't make an encampment then this isn't really an occupation.
