I am a liberal, but this conservative Senator from GA lost her life for this cause. They tore her from her sister who had Aspergers using pure speculation that someday, somehow, for an unknown reason, she might hurt her sister. This against ALL PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. Children in CPS custody have a 6 x higher rate of being abused physically, sexually, and many die. My Morgan was always healthy, never sick a day, for the 6 months I had her, but the stress of being removed from a loving bonded family caused her to become physically ill. They are set to adopt her in March. I have an appeal pending. There are many like me. I am not alone but our activist groups are fractured and spread across the country and even the world. Angie, there was a report on NPR about this happening in North Dakota as well. It was great to hear them bringing awareness to this. This particular story was about Native Americans who are supposed to have greater protection against having their families torn apart. It is unbelievable because these children are being taken illegally and the parents/grandparents can't do anything about it because they can't afford lawyers! Here's the link:

My husband and I were wrongly accused of abusing our 2 month old son. It was ridiculous the accusations they threw out AND they dragged it out for 7 months! They made stuff up, and lied all over reports. It was sickening. They tore our family of 7 apart all for their gain, so they still had a job.

DCFS Los Angeles is a criminal organization. They justify their multi-billion dollar budget by snatching as many Los Angeles children as they can, by whatever means necissary, and then keeping them in custody for as long as possible order to bilk the State and Federal Governments out of as much $$ as they can. Terminating parental rights and adopting out a child is DCFS's most profitable goal. DCFS will use unsubstantiated and outright false allegations against the parent(s), false reports to the court, and perjuries of every sort in order to ply their trade. DCFS cares NOTHING about the physical, emotional or psychological well being of ANY child. In fact, DCFS Los Angeles is responsible for the deaths of over 200 children every single year! The Santa Clarita DCFS office is perhaps the most notorious of all. This office employs some of the most vicious, vendictive, black-hearted, evil trolls in the entire system. The problem is that any idiot can get a Social Services degree, and many do, and the worst of the worst seem to end up in Santa Clarita. This particular office's treachery, such as using gross untruths, turning one parent against another, lying to one or both parents, lying to the courts, coaching children to lie, antagonization, manipulation and bullying techniques, etc. are well known throughout LA County, and much of the California, earning them such monikers as; Department of Causing Families to Seperate, Department of Causing Fathers to Suffer, Department of Causing Fashism to Spread, Detaining Children For $, Damaging Children For Schadenfreude, Department of Children for Sale, etc. etc. These people routinely throw themselves pep rallies and inter-office morale parties to try to convince each other that what they're doing to families and children is o.k. (or that they themselfelves are not monsters). They're constantly at the tax-payer's trough, with their hands out, parading the one or two stories they have for the year in which they actually (probably accidentaly) helped someone, begging for even more funding. What about the Children's Court? The Edelman's Childrens Court, in Monterey Park, is in on all of it! The court is nothing more than an extension of DCFS's own legal department. Every person in that building (including the judges, the wanna be judges, and the bottom of their class defense attorneys) want the same thing, to rubber-stamp the every whim of DCFS as quietly and as quickly as possible in order to feed the machine and keep their jobs and budgets in tact. The relationship is COMPLETELY INCESTUOUS (ironic isn't it?)! If ever there was a power drunken, bloated, over sized, over funded bureaucracy, direly in need of independant regulatory oversight and downsizing, in Los Angeles County, it is the DCFS/Children's Court machine.

They took my grandson from me on May 15, 2012. Blindsided us with telling us it was a trial after waiting for hours. I spoke with the ARA at DCFS who assured me my grandson would not be removed, they refused a TDM meeting and decided to call it emotional abuse and yet his full sibling that I adopted and have raised since birth, she is 12, my grandson 11 are just fine and wonderful children. Who do they think helped them to be that way??? My grandson cried and begged the 'Commissioner' not to remove him, that what his attorney was saying were lies, and yet they removed him right then and there and whisked him off to a foster home.
