I'm going to start out by saying that I am proud of every last one of the people who has made ANY EFFORT AT ALL on behalf of the Occupy Movement or any other movement or cause aimed at making the world a better place or making life better for people. However, we are GAME PIECES to the ruling class, also known as the greedy few at the top of the 1%. They play us and for the most part we do just what they want us to. Demographics and statistics are all they need to predict almost everything we do.
What is Occupy's message? Simple... There are things in this world which need to get better and we are willing to work hard at making it happen! There are problems in society which need to be solved and we are willing to work hard at solving them! There is too much injustice in the world and we are willing to work hard to improve the situation! Quite simply, things are wrong and we are willing to work very hard, make sacrifices, take risks, and cause a scene in the process so it's not ignored, because we feel it's important to make things right!
It has been brought up at the People's Assembly, at the General Assembly, and in many other contexts that the General Assembly has been getting too rigid and "process" has been hurting it more and more rather than evolving into something which works better. For example, when it comes to a "temperature check" people have a way of saying that they agree, that they don't see it, or that they feel it will endanger the movement or cause them to leave the movement, but no way to distinctly say that they disagree or disapprove.
What do we call what we are trying to accomplish? Many have said "revolution" but that is based on the word "revolve" which comes out of Latin where the meaning implied is to "roll back" which is exactly what revolution does. Do we really want to go backward and start over? Is a set-back the best we can hope for? Personally, I think not. Another term which I have personally preferred is "Evolution" which implies a step by step series of small changes and comes from the word "evolve" which again comes out of Latin where the meaning "to roll out" is encountered.
