Unfortunately, one OLA participant, Clay Claiborne, has written over 100 pro-war articles in The Daily KOS, and now identifies himself as Clay Claiborne of Occupy Los Angeles.
Most of the articles cheer for the NATO bombing and overthrow of the Libyan government. After this overthrow, the West installed a bunch of gangsters and technocrats (and gangster technocrats) who immediately gave away Libya's oil to, you got it, NATO powers and the United States. There are also thousands of people being held in prisons without charges, and many have been tortured an extrajudicially murdered.
The rest of Mr. Claiborne's articles are focused on promoting the arming of the Western-backed militias who are murdering Syrian police, soldiers and civilians daily, including the infamous al-Houla massacre. Claiborne would love to see NATO bomb Syria just like it bombed Libya, and the extremist militias overthrow the Syrian government. Then the West would install another neoliberal government of gangster technocrats who would give away Syria's natural gas to, you got it, the NATO powers and the United States. They would also waste no time in building hostile military bases right on Iran's border.
Clay does not represent Occupy Los Angeles and has not participated in ANYTHING we have been doing since October after he broke solidarity by printing out flyers with occupiers photos and names on them and distributing them, denouncing the people on the flyers. He was not been denounced officially at OLA, but his presence at our meetings, and events is not welcomed by many, if at all any, and this has been made perfectly clear to him by many participants.
My words represent myself and not Occupy Los Angeles. @lizsavage on Twitter
Thanks very much for that clarification. Since I pointed this out publicly, Clay has stopped using OLA's good name to push for war on Syria. Now if we could only get Pham Binh to stop using OWS's name to do pro-war propaganda!

I'm glad OLA is against U.S./NATO wars in the Middle East
