Forums:
march are wonderful but there are a lot of people who use canes, walkers and a non-electric wheelchair that can't go on marches. So I would like to rally up all of 99% Occupiers who can't do marches and show that we have a voice and we can use it.

Let's show that our voices are just as loud and count just as much as everyone els's!

We have been working on

We have been working on actions from home, and we always need volunteers that don't nessesarily need to be marching about.
We need people to take minutes at committee meetings, do research, edit video, write blogs, and journalistic pieces, moderate the website, design flyers, spread the word, ect. There are lots of ways to be involved from home! And I am sure you can all come up with a few yourselves!
My words represent myself and not Occupy Los Angeles. @lizsavage on Twitter
Thank You

Thank you so much for commenting. I am a big part of the Occupy Movement OLA Food Committee, Occupy Venice & Out & Occupy. I encourage everyone who uses a cane, walk or wheelchair to get involved with the Occupy Moment in all the ways Liz stated above. Every single person counts and there is a lot of work to be done. Even if you can only volunteer for an hour, that hour is precious.
The reason I posted the thread though is because I would LOVE to be part of a demonstration. Not just a location hostess but part of a real demonstration full of 99% physically limited but self empowered individuals who absolutely count and should be heard! There is a lot of disability prejudice in our current system and it needs to change!
I Occupy because I may be physically limited but I am not dis abled.
I Occupy because everyone should have equal opportunities.
I Occupy because I am not afraid to stand up to greed and corruption
