Deepak Chopra Transcribed

Deepak Chopra stood in front of our General Assembly at Occupy Los Angeles. This is what he said:

First of all I do not come here to give council.

I just want to share some ideas with humility and hopefully with some creativity.

The first thing is, the Occupy movement is unstoppable.

It is like a child that has been born.

It cannot return to the womb.

So, it is unstoppable.

But a child is fragile.

It has to be nurtured with love and caring.

I know that we have a lot of moral outrage, and social, and political, and economic; injustice.

There is moral outrage; and, social-economic-political injustice.

But remember that the word 'outrage', even moral outrage, is still rage.

When we understand 'Consciousness', we do not want to engage in more rage in 'The Consciousness'.

No problem will be solved at the level of Consciousness at which it was created.

So remember... What do we want?

We want Social Justice.

We want Economic Justice, Political Justice, Sustainability, Peace, Health & Well Being; Happiness!

Let's not forget that outcome, and as long as we keep that in our consciousness; then, the love that is here, and the action that is motivated by that love, will achieve the outcome.

Love without action is meaningless, and action without love is irrelevant.

What we are starting with the Occupy Movement, is a movement of love in action.

Just keep that in mind.

If Next week they evict us, move somewhere else close by, and Occupy.

If they come there and evict us, move again, and Occupy.

Just keep moving and keep Occupying.

Let us also Occupy ourselves.

That's our next stage.

Occupy Your Self.

We are the hundred percent!

Love in action.

Thank you.
