Washington D.C.'s so called "leaders" have legislated themselves free pass and are exempt from insider trading laws. And, they also benefit greatly from real estate deals! Congressional policymakers know that bills will become regulation well before the general public. As such, they likely know which businesses will benefit from specific laws, making insider trading, however illegal, quite possible. As writer Peter Schweizer notes, however, not only is the door open, but people in the United States Congress might very well be going inside to create illegal increases for themselves on the stock market
