Morning Report: Fox News Struggles for Relevance

More than 50 arrested in San Diego as police continue to throttle efforts by local organizers:

Here’s a rather bizarre piece that shows that the mainstream media is struggling to find a handle for the Occupation Movement. Only problem, it doesn’t exist. Try this from Allen Mc Duffee that quotes an article which tries to sell the notion that OWS protesters are “a bunch of people that are conservatives, they just don’t know it.” Huh?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/think-tanked/post/occupy-wall-street-protestors-only-win-if-obama-loses-in-2012-says-aeis-jonah-goldberg/2011/10/28/gIQAsi6aPM_blog.html

Huffington Post published this take on a “profile” of OWS protesters which may or may not be accurate due to limited sampling involved:

“In his recent article Polling the Occupy Wall Street Crowd, prominent pollster Douglas Schoen makes the case that embracing the Occupy Wall Street movement would cost President Obama and the Democratic Party leadership the 2012 elections. Schoen argues that the protesters "are bound by a deep commitment to radical left-wing policies," with "values that are dangerously out of touch with the broad mass of the American people." We recently conducted 100 interviews in Zuccotti Park (October 22-23) and 95 interviews at the site of Occupy Boston (October 23) and our data presents a very different picture.

“Results of our interviews show a population more motivated by reform than massive overhauls of existing systems, a group well-educated and well-versed on relevant policy issues rather than a radical movement likely to resort to violence. Moreover, our data suggests that casting them as deeply committed to ‘radical left-wing policies’ tells us less about this movement and more about the biased frameworks being applied to ascertain their policy positions.”

Fox News continues to look for a way to portray the Occupation Movement as some sort of shady enterprise that is somehow engaged in nefarious activity. This effort now includes the defunct group ACORN which went bankrupt due to negative publicity. The guilt-by-association angle is predictable, especially when you consider the source. Here’s a reply by Mark Howard:

http://www.alternet.org/media/152889/how_the_bitter_elitists_at_fox_news_keep_trying_--_and_failing_--_to_dampen_support_for_occupy_wall_street

It should be noted that the bogus stories that have surfaced are only substantiated by isolated interviews with certain Fox News-friendlies who seem to know what type of slanderous accusations Fox finds useful at a particular time, (like the comments by the LAUSD teacher who was fired for anti-Semitic comments here in Los Angeles). And incidentally, I’ve been told that the Comments section of this site have been used for the same purpose. The Comments are difficult to patrol for this sort of thing, but we will remove these comments when they are brought to our attention. We ask for the help of readers to point these things out when they are posted.

The code of conduct for Comments and Forum posts is very simple. We ask that participants refrain from personal attacks, insults or defamatory language, especially when it refers to a person or organization that has not broken the rules when they posted their commentary. Stick with policy issues. Say what you mean. You’ll find there is no reason to attack others with different views unless you lack the ability to articulate your own.

I have yet to find any commercial news media sympathetic to us

I have yet to find any commercial news media sympathetic to us. They can't be by & because of who makes their payroll. In my opinion, they are all a sham. Controlled by Their need for Greed, is way beyond a reasonable or unreasonable profit.

Capitalism is good.

Unchecked Capitalism is an attack on our country's security.

An attack on our country by a patriot is an ACT OF TREASON!

Time to investigate, arrest & prosecute.

Shame on the US Networks, but expected

I actually turned to The BBC in hopes of some unbiased or non-ridiculously sloppy journalism, but alas, none but the same. sigh :-(    lmfao

We would be better off to look for help from Aliens exiting their UFO's than from our "Fellow American's" in the media.

Max Keiser Explains 'Financial Terrorism'

Just thought you might enjoy this interview/rant from Max Keiser also. That was indeed a terrific rant from Dylan Ratigan. Awesome!

Without free speech no search for the truth is possible, no discovery of truth is useful. Better a thousandfold abuse of speech than denial. The abuse dies in a day, but the denial slays the life of the people, and entombs the hope of the race.

here is a little poem of how i feel about this movement!

An idea entered my head

One that I thought was dead

I heard an eerie voice

Saying I must make a choice

Do I stay in the dark

In an illusion that is stark

Or do strive for the bright

And put up a marvelous fight?

The world is in the palm of our hands

Just like the natives should control the lands

They committed genocide

So that the tribes would abide

The land covered in blood

Enough to make a flood

Stand up and decipher the facts

Of what the world lacks

They took our compassion

And replaced it with a new fashion

A human is wholesome in essence

Yet society says they need to teach us lessons

Their community turns us into machines

And tell us to become marines

Taught to kill on command

Even in our own land

A war fought in debt

Paid for by the poor man’s sweat

All in the name of democracy

The same excuse made by the theocracy

The drafted fight and die in the trenches

While they grow fat and play with their wenches

They look at us on the other side of Wall Street

Imposing their plans of deceit

They don’t hesitate to bailout every bank

Yet tell us to walk the plank

We are nothing but a number

Staying in our life long slumber

Its time for us to stand up

Not just wait around until they put change in our cup

Everything is within our reach

If we just push to impeach

The world is a beautiful place

When the mask is taken off your face

Does a puppet enjoy being on the strings?

Seeing what the master brings?

We are told to assimilate

When their intentions are to immolate

We must support our inner power

and bloom like a beautiful flower

For we are the future

And the world we must suture

We are created equal

This is the American Revolution sequel

If the world were to be free

Its peace that I foresee

We must come to a global compromise

However much the rulers might despise

They believe there is no money in peace

So they justify that we must police

They create confliction

When all they do is cultural infliction

Westernization is their goal

And all it does is suppress the soul

The times are changing

Because the occupy movements are raging

They will hear our cries

And we mustn’t listen to their lies

Endurance is the key

Because one day they will see

We were right from the start

Since we are speaking from the heart

Hope is on its way

Because in our movement true freedom we portray

interview/rant from Max Keiser BRILLIANT GIMME MORE!

I am now addicted to RANTS! I need more I need another fix! Pure articulation, small easy to understand words. One of the MOST COMPELLING COMMENTARIES FOR REVOLUTION, he says it himself when he answers his own question, "Who has the balls to take the power back from the banks" the "Terrorist's of Mass Financial Destruction" it is "The People through a Mass Revolt" We are our only hope!

I love Max Keiser & Dylan Ratigan, well said, superb!

More Rants!

haha, you're funny. Ok, I think you'll like this one. This video is great, not exactly a rant, just a guy speaking the truth...

The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves - in their separate, and individual capacities. -Abe

EXCELLENT

I've seen this before, but never tire of watching it again. Absolute truth in every word. Those soldiers have to stop being the tools for the Bankster-Corporate rich, as they have always been per: Smedley Butler 'War is a Racket' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3_EXqJ8f-0

Keiser Report: Dollar-Trapped!

This is not so much a rant, but informative as usual. Max Keiser and co-host Stacy Herbert discuss Babyface Bernanke, Eurotarp and 'rogue traders'. In the Second half of the show Max talks to Bill Still, director of the Money Masters & The Secret of Oz, about Fort Knox, state banks and monetary reform. Sept. 20, 2011 (aprox. 26 mins.)

Thanks Seth

I'll watch it in the morning, even us junkies need our sleep. Although after watching the first two over & over again, which pissed me off & fired me up, sleep may be a rare commodity tonight. A little financier lingo, haha.
