Every day on the television commercials are paid for to influence people. Some people from the #Occupy world have gotten together to try and fundraise to run #Occupy Commercials on the main stream airwaves. This is a way to reach the mass-programmed individuals out there who refuse to put down the remote control. Occupy Spots was created to allow Occupiers to create commercial spots, and put them up to be fundraised for to be on TV. The individuals who make these spots, and the ones promoting this are not making any finacial gains off this project, it is strictly to raise public awareness. OLA has a few "Spots" up there created by XmasEve2012 or as we know him "Tony", his videos are "We are the Hope", "We are all human" and "Join us" featuring the arrestees reports from N17.

I think this is a great idea. There are many people who cannot participate directly in the occupy movement itself, but who do agree with its principles and would be willing to donate to the cause.

We Are The Hope

I made 4 of these Occupy commercials from footage I shot at the camp (N18 and the eviction). I know we're all broke, but if we can use our networks to raise $1000 on any of them, they will get on TV. Scroll down - they are called 'We Are All Human', 'Join Us', 'You Won't Shut Us Up' and 'We Are The Hope'. BTW - I checked with everyone in the commercials and they are cool with this. I fully support the TV spots idea. In fact this is the best way to get some of us to participate without being physically present as we live in different areas. I have made arrangements to make my donation very soon. Thank you.

Would the owners of any such videos be willing to give permission to project them outdoors for people to see? I figure probably yes... but I would like to know for sure. This is of course not meant to be "instead of" on television... I do like the idea and I hope it gets enough support.
